Submission Failed? Excuse to update to v3.5!
I just got the email from Microsoft that V3 of DashBuddy failed certification. This is because in the new code I’m using there’s no difference between the app going wrong and Tumblr having one of its “moments” - this is an automatic fail as it looks like the app is wrong straight out of the box, which it wasn’t.
This has been fixed and I’ve just submitted the new version, but - as I’ve had a bit of time over the holiday period before MS gave me the news - this has meant that the new version has had some changes too, an update to 3.5, a few “thanks for waiting” bonuses.
- You’re now able to pin the new post screens to the start page, so you can quickly post something without having to navigate from your dashboard.
- I’ve performed the moves concerning the “view post” and “view blog” options. View blog is now a menu option inside the single feed page, and view post is now “more details” which meant I could:
- Give a “recent notes” screen! Sorry - it has been a long time coming, but the most recent notes for a post can now be seen by selecting “more details” and swiping over to the recent notes tab. I’m going to improve this screen as well by making each note clickable to see the blog of the person who has commented - but at least it’s there without a browser now.
So there we go - I’ll keep you updated as always, and will still work toward V4 while this is going on.
