Thank you for the compliment, I don’t look at the other Tumblr apps because I don’t want to get hung up on who’s better - I just work on an app that I know I’d like, so it means a lot people enjoy it.
As for V3 - after my letter to the Tumblr team the photo issue has had some real progress, to the point where when I woke up this morning (I’m in the UK) there was a note from the Tumblr team on the API forum pointing us to a fully working sample script.
I’m going to spend what time I can find in the next day or two converting the python code they’ve given us into C# for DashBuddy and I hope by the end of the weekend to be able to post a sample photoset straight from my phone onto this blog.
Once that post is up I’m into my testing and minor tweak phase (like I want to add reblog information to the bottom of posts so you can find and follow interesting people from the phone)
If for some reason it starts to look unlikely I can deploy it as an upgrade, I would certainly release what I had - incomplete - as a free DashBuddy V3 app before shutting down the project.
I’ve put a lot into the app though, and I hope that won’t be the case.
